About

I'm a Junior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on experience building and maintaining Linux-based virtualised environments. I run a home lab on Proxmox with Docker and Podman containers, manage DNS routing and reverse proxies, and write Python scripts to take repetitive work off my plate.

My background blends freelance IT support, professional web development, and a fast-paced retail role — so I'm as comfortable troubleshooting a server as I am explaining the fix to a non-technical user. I'm currently studying for a BSc in Computing & IT at the Open University, with CompTIA Linux+ up next.

Key strengths

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident in client-facing environments
  • Follows structured processes and guidelines
  • Effective communication with users and teams
  • Problem-solving in technical and non-technical situations
  • Adapts quickly to new systems and environments

Projects & home lab

Where I learn by doing. Most write-ups live on the blog.

Proxmox home lab

Multi-VM Proxmox cluster running containerised self-hosted services. Networking, DNS routing and reverse-proxy patterns are exercised here, not just read about.

Containerised services stack

A growing set of Dockerised tools — file storage, monitoring, dashboards, media — managed alongside backups, firewall rules and SSH access policies.

Python build & packaging automation

Scripts that automate project discovery, packaging and build workflows so I stop repeating manual steps. Started as a tidy-up; ended up a small toolkit.
